Bollywood Movies Review: Ekk Deewana Tha

Movies Review: Ekk Deewana Tha is a pure romantic movie with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson (new comer) playing the lead roles. Gautham Menon, the Director returns to the bollywood after a long time of directing "Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein" movie. The movie is a remake of K. Balachander's roaring hit EK DUUJE KE LIYE.

The director, Menon is a really good director well known for his fine story-telling. But in this movie, he fails to make an impact as he increases the length of the movie for no valid reason. Just when persons start to think that the movie is going to over now, the director start a new chapter in the movie. The music by the great AR Rahman also lacks charisma in the movie and can be only rated OK.

Prateik's acting seems natural in the movie, after playing good roles in Aarakshan and Dhobi Ghat movies. His dancing hip-hop moves in the songs were nice. Amy Jackson looks pretty in the movie. But her make-up was not so good sometimes in the movie. She also tried to leave a good impression on the audience with her pretty looks.

The story starts when the hero falls in love at first site with the actress. He then starts chasing her. After telling her about his feelings, he start following her to Kerala. Even she accepts her love but is afraid of her conservative and religious family. She often seems confused about her love in the movie. Even the audience gets confused whether the couple will meet or not.

The question after interval in mind of audience, Will they get together or not? Actress appears, she likes him, then disappears, then she again appears, she likes him, gets married finallyyyy. On an whole movie is stretched by around 20 minutes. Final Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
