Movies Review: Inkaar

Movies Review: Inkaar: Sudhir Mishra’s "Inkaar" is a story about sexual harassment at the workplace. The movie could have been a big blockbuster if the writer had thought of a strong end to the story.

Maya Luthra (Chitrangda Singh) is a small-town girl who comes to Mumbai to make a career in the advertising world. Rahul Verma (Arjun Rampal), CEO of the company helps her climb the ladder of success in the professional world. They start flirting openly but all falls apart after some time when she is back in the city as one of the board of directors of the company. This results in a a clash of egos between the pair. Maya files a sexual harassment case against Rahul but the team finds it difficult to reach a final decision as it thinks both sides are true in their own aspect.

The film will keep you think whether Maya is really a victim or just taking revenge? The first half of the movie is very strong as per its script. Sudhir Mishra addresses situation that exist in every work environment nowadays.

Arjun Rampul delivers his one of the most strong performance after Rajneeti movie. Chitrangda also acts sharp in her role.

On the whole, Inkaar is a gripping movie which will keep you involved for most of the time and keep you guessing who is right and who is wrong? However, the ending of the movie could have been much much better. Bollywood Paradise gives Inkaar 3.4 stars out of 5.
